Spotted April 27, 2012This vendor had an entire trailer of duck, cold cuts, and foie gras. I saw it at 2 markets, so he must make the rounds. His stuff was very expensive and no wonder with the cost of all that refrigeration and fuel!

Spotted December 09, 2011As you walk in you can see what meat selection they are offering that evening.

Spotted August 31, 2011Disappointing, but this was it for charcuterie. But they made up for it in other ways.

Justafoodie Maybe not in this case, but I've eaten horse salami in Venice and also had a pasta with horse meat there. I tried a horse steak in Rome once too. I keep looking for a restaurant that serves donkey, but have not found one.elisabetta most likely some agriturismo in piemonte might have it ... it is quite traditional over there..elisabetta i had horse meat stew in lecce, gosh, it was wonderful... at home in italy we always eat it!Justafoodie I've seen donkey in small towns in the south and also in Emilia Romagna. I was in the hills in Borgo Val di Taro. I loved Lecce, and wonder why most guide books ignore so much of the south.
