  • Self Serve Frozen Yogurt @ Yogi Castle
    Spotted May 13, 2012
Cake batter, original tart, and sweet coconut. Cake batter was the best, tart was a bit too tart (compared to Tutti Frutti), and sweet coconut reminded me of sunscreen. The topping selection is amazing, and they have their nutrition info posted. I still ate every bite, and plan to return to try other favors. They even let you vote for favorites!

Butter lettuce, garbanzo beans, onion, and red bell pepper, mixed with chopped baby octopus. Small portion, but worth every penny!

  • Huevos rancheros @ Mariachi Restaurant
    Spotted April 25, 2012
Two over easy eggs atop cheese, salsa, pinto beans, and a hard tortilla. With a side of fried plantains. Something was "missing" in the depth of the flavor, such as cilantro, or some acidity. Just a bit bland until I dressed it up with extra salsa and hot sauce.

Smaller sized, well-done beef burger on a trimmed bun with hot, fresh fries. No complaints!

  • Torta Gigante de Puerco @ Tavern On The Square
    Spotted April 25, 2012
Shredded lettuce, avocado, tomato, black bean smear, hot pepper puree, and pork slices (I requested without bacon) on an extremely dry, thick bun. Seems they forgot to add the ham and queso fresco. I would never order this again. The pork was so dry that half of it visually resembled pig ears I feed my dogs. I only ate the avocado, lettuce, tomato, and what I could salvage of the thin bean smear. Fries were fantastic!

  • Buffalo Calamari @ Tavern On The Square
    Spotted April 25, 2012
Crispy, fried calamari, tossed in a tangy (not too spicy) buffalo sauce with bleu cheese and carrots/celery. Portions have gotten smaller, but I still like them enough to order again.

  • Bison Burger @ Tavern On The Square
    Spotted April 19, 2012
Medium temp local bison (I suspect it is bought pre-formed?) with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and raw onion on a whole grain bun. I loved the little seeds on the top of the bun, but I had to cut the top portion of the bun in half since it was far too thick. The meat was a bit drier than even bison should be, but still tasty with house-made habanero sauce and ketchup added. The fries were amazingly good!

  • Steak and Arugula Salad @ Tavern On The Square
    Spotted April 19, 2012
Steak cooked perfectly to temperature, with a perfect char. So juicy and delicious! Fresh arugula and spinach, fried onions, and diced tomato, topped with balsamic vinaigrette. Would definitely order in the future as well.
