Even though this is called Fishery Station and has really good seafood, it is owned by a Greek family. So it also serves Greek food. This gyro was surprisingly bad. Dry meat and even drier bread. Very disappointed.
Lots of stuff going on here. That is spicy tuna roe and avacado on top. Inside the roll is spicy crab and jalapeno amounst other things. Three different sauces spread over everything. And, oh yes, the roll was fried in tempura. The taste was delicious. But it was so heavy. Probably better as a split dish.
I heard about this orange on KCRW's Good Food in an interview by the people growing it in California. It is a cross between the mandarin and a California navel orange. It is easy to peel, super-sweet and has no seeds!
