Spotted November 11, 2011This is one if my favourite food court dishes in Metro Van. Simply called “Steamed Bun with Pork and Rice,” fen zheng rou is a rustic dish: pork steam-braised in broken rice seasoned with dried chili and five-spice. Deeply savoury and very satisfying.-

GoaGirl Yes....I added some extra chilli oil from the counter for an added kick! I also went on a quest for the wintermelon pastries that your daughter loves at Kam Do....those were heavenly!!

Spotted November 10, 2011It doesn't look like much but this is an excellent soup. Devoid of offaliness that you get with most. Subtle, balanced white pepper flavour. -
Spotted November 10, 2011Very very good dish. Real plum sauce makes a difference. Duck has perfect texture. Taro cakes less than perfect but still very good.-

Spotted November 09, 2011Geoduck with Chinese greens. Greens dominated the flavour and detracted from the sweet and mild geoduck. Less is more in this case.-

Spotted November 07, 2011Unusual traditionally steamed rice noodles. Rice noodles steamed in house from batter, sliced, then re-steamed with various accompaniments. Rare dish for here.-

Spotted November 06, 2011Authentic HK style bowl. The broth is not as gelatinous as Tsim Chai's. Subtle dried seafood flavours. Noodles are thin and have a nice snappy texture. Small wontons just like at HK noodle houses.-
