Art Wow! I have just come back yesterday! Yes, it's the river weed you find every where there. In the center is a spicy dipper call 'Jaew Bong'. It's a kind of chilli paste - seems to be very common there as well.

Art I stayed at Villa Nagara by the river close to the small bamboo bridge. Enjoy the rest of Luang Prabang for me :-)
MountainCatKing Jaew Bong is water buffalo skin, texture of leather! Flavor is too my liking though. Great dishes here, as if Isaan food prepared more artfully. Enjoying LP currently. Nice spots
