Spotted December 10, 2011Fried rice because we didn't feel like being daring to try other stuff. Stick-to-basics day we called it. Did you know: Fried rice is often served as the penultimate dish in Chinese banquets (just before dessert). As a home-cooked dish, fried rice typically is made with left over ingredients from other dishes, leading to countless variations. At home, we do the same - just to use up the excess rice we made that is close to drying up! Making fried rice softens the rice again and finishes up the other foods we have left!-
