T / Glutinous rice

I asked for chilli. They gave me the entire plant in a dish. Work was a bit hot the rest of the day...

The menu is quite simple here and I didnt want to keep ordering the same foods - so I went down the fried rice path! Surprisingly quite nice! Did you know the difference that makes Thai fried rice different is that it is usually served with sliced cucumber and "Prik nam pla", a spicy sauce made of Thai chili, fish sauce and chopped garlic.

Probably my fav place for Fried rice now. There's no mini prawns and it's made pretty spot on!

Fried rice because we didn't feel like being daring to try other stuff. Stick-to-basics day we called it. Did you know: Fried rice is often served as the penultimate dish in Chinese banquets (just before dessert). As a home-cooked dish, fried rice typically is made with left over ingredients from other dishes, leading to countless variations. At home, we do the same - just to use up the excess rice we made that is close to drying up! Making fried rice softens the rice again and finishes up the other foods we have left!
