Spotted September 26, 2011A lot going on with the cabbage, bean sprouts and thinly sliced pork, but satisfying. -
Spotted September 16, 2011For the curry noodle soup lovers... Laksa is a dish "with strong Peranakan influence" that combines garlic infused shrimp, scallop, fish cake, soft and spongey fried tofu, quail egg and rice macaroni. Not too spicy! (I got two.) Part of SPICE - Singapore International Culinary Exchange - press lunch.-

Alison-Kari Cox Amy are you in Singapore now ? you MUST go to the tippling club !! it will change your life I promise you ! very expensive but worth it !
Northcountryboy It was my favorite! We took so many cups of it! LOL...Amy Cao @Alexander - yes! Try searching for laksa using Foodspotting in LA. Let me know how it goes :) @Dor - the laksa was so good, I got two cups! @Alison-Kari, I'm not in Singapore, but I wish I was! I will definitely go to the Tippling Club if/when I go though. Thank you for the tip! @Sean, you went today? Did you get tickets online or did you just show up? I'm so glad you went. The laksa was SO GOOD.
Northcountryboy I actually went for the Friday evening part and ran into a lot of old friends (and bosses!)...I actually got to meet Ed Cotton, the runners-up from Top Chef (season 7 I think) but I missed his cooking. He was making his version of Singapore Chilli Crab which sounded so delicious!

Spotted July 18, 2011Chewy noodles with a balanced sweet, slightly sour pad thai sauce. It's quite large for one person. I recommend sharing this dish and an appetizer or two.-

Spotted May 27, 2011Get it with a soft-boiled egg! Otherwise the standard poached egg disappears into the broth too quickly.-
