Rosa Rodriguez is an artist from Mexico whose work combines bold colors reminiscent of Mexican Muralism with the feminine strength and individuality evoked in Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits. Influenced by the great Mexican artists of the 20th century, her earlier works in oil paint include landscapes of the Mexican state of Durango, as well as silhouettes at night. Her works have been exhibited in galleries across the state of Durango, Mexico. As a child, Rosa filled her friends’ walls with these gifts on canvas, believing that all art should be shared. It was this early love of art and the desire to share it is beauty that inspired her to study the art of Dessert Gelatin and later to start her own business, Sweets Collection.
