This $3.00 side dish is perfectly flavored, creamy and crispy at the same time. It combines two of my favorite things so I will add it to my growing list of reasons to go back to Asia Dog!

Organic beef frank with chinese BBQ pork belly, cucumber, and scallions... I'm a BIG fan

Wow... I'm not sure that I've ever had any pancakes quite like these... Sweet and crispy, fluffy an filling. I'm not usually a pancake guy, but these are must haves if you're in the neighborhood!

Hand cut fries, creamy cheddar curds, and a homemade mushroom gravy make for an awesome plate of poutine. Top it off with the awesome house smoked brisket and it's as mouth wateringly close to Montreal as you can get in Brooklyn!

Sure, the atmosphere is a bit touristy, but Caru' cu Bere is from 1879 and well worth the visit. These meat stuffed cabbage leaves are a traditional Romanian dish, and this version was delicious. Served with polenta, sauerkraut, and a fresh sour cream this was a great traditional meal that only took me about 12 bites. If you're in Bucharest, it's a plate not to be missed.

This is a sumer only dish at New Haven's famous Pepe's... made with fresh local tomatoes, Mozzarella, big chunks of fresh garlic and basil. It really does have a nice lightness to the ingredients that tastes even better on Pepe's perfect thin crust. Get there for the 11:30 opening if you want to avoid the ubiquitous line!

Fresh clams with grated cheese, olive oil, fresh garlic and oregano. For me, growing up in an Italian American kitchen, this is a no-brainer for awesome flavor combinations! For some of my buddies however, clams on their pizza was a bit too much. This is one of Pepe's truly famous pies, so if you can dig the concept of seafood on your pizza, I highly recommend it!

Chicken and Waffles always feels like an L.A. food to me, but this Brooklyn version was pretty good! With natural maple syrup and blueberry butter, I'd definately reccomend this brunch menu dish!

The pizza here is actually a pretty good Neapolitan style pie! They have D.O.C. Recognition ( D.O.C. stands for 'Denominazione di Origine Controllata' and means the Italian Food Commission gives their approval to this pie and they use only Italian import ingredients). Thin and chewy with great taste, this is a good option for pizza margherita!

Pretty good burger on a homemade bun... Wasn't anything to write home about but it wasn't bad. The service was amazingly slow considering we were the only people in the joint! The burger smell drew me in from a block away, but I'm not sure I'd the food made a repeat visitor out of me. See for yourself I guess!
