Spotted July 16, 2010The pizza here is actually a pretty good Neapolitan style pie! They have D.O.C. Recognition ( D.O.C. stands for 'Denominazione di Origine Controllata' and means the Italian Food Commission gives their approval to this pie and they use only Italian import ingredients). Thin and chewy with great taste, this is a good option for pizza margherita! -

Spotted April 19, 2010I really like Patsy's... I think they have the best Pizza in Manhattan (Brooklyn is really NYC's Pizza Promised Land), but if I'm visiting my family in Manhattan my brothers always order a few Patsy's pies for us to indulge in while we catch up! Multiple locations with a pretty consistent product... just make sure it's a real Patsy's.-
Georgiecakes Yeah, Pasty is real yummy pie. I do a lot of traveling and NYC does come close to holding the NOM in this category - although there's so many more Pizza's to conquer.Brkl97 As hard as I try, I don't think I'll ever be able to find the perfect piazza... that quest is more the journey than the destination I guess!

Spotted April 01, 2010I thought this would be a little better than it was. I have heard great things about Fornino, and while the dough was good, the pie had way too much Parmesan cheese on it, overpowering the other essential ingredients.-
RRGGBB Fornino kind of disappoints

Spotted March 05, 2010Totonno's is the oldest family owned pizzeria in the U.S. and it's one of the closest to real Neapolitan pizza you can get anywhere! Place is an old school Italian-American treasure, seek this place out, and if you're in Coney Island you'd be stupid to miss it! -
