Cindy Green / Shrimp

Had this about a year ago while I was hunting interesting foods for a charity event. This is one of my favorite food trucks in the North Shore of Hawaii...mmm

(not a great picture) We followed our appetizer of POPCORN CHICKEN & FRIES with their FRIED RICE & SHRIMP SCAMPI...so yummy!!

Soooo yummy!!! It's a Bubba Gump's special. Large shrimp with crab stuffing, baked in garlic butter, and topped with montary jack cheese. Served with jasmine rice. Just to mix it up, I ordered a side of aspargus... GREAT MEAL!!

This was super yummy!! Grilled shrimp served with sausage and a side of mashed potatos, all in a cajun sause. Garnished with thin, fried onions. The taste is a little spicy...so, be careful if you don't like spicy or cajun...but, we loved it!! The presentation was very creative too. This is a 'new' dish and not even listed on the online menu...

Finally...got to the North Shore shrimp truck instead of the location indicated. But, I couldn't wait for some yummy garlic shrimp. We also ordered the shrimp scampi which was super yummy!! Luckily, we ordered just before a bus pulled up with about 40 Japanese tourists arrived to sample Giovanni's...guess it made their day!! I'll have to get to the reported Giovanni's location and try that too...

We hit this spot as part of our charity event and decided to try a few extra dishes...this was an interesting mix of flavors and quite good. The picture doesn't do it justice. They present uncooked shrimp and garlic in a sizzling bowl and toss in the rice, right at your tableside. After a few tosses, the heat from the bowl cooks the shrimp and garlic and mixes the flavors in with the rice...delicious!! Throw in a little soy sause...mmmmmm
