Lots of meat (a bit tough) - but no herbs to speak of. The herbs are a necessity - the provide the freshness to balance the savoury. Not that great.

Another great Bun along Kingsway - the heart of the Vietnamese community in Vancouver. Excellent grilled meat with a great char.

Another great example of Bun - good noodle to meat ratio. Very good Spring Rolls - fried perfectly.

Great rendition of Bun with Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls - perfect noodles and nice sauce. They use spearmint as a main herb and it works very well.

Freshly made rice roll served with pork floss and pork cake. One of the few Northern Vietnamese restaurants in the city.

My other favourite Vietnamese Sandwich place. They don't bake their own bread, but they make their own meats - excellent selection of unusual Vietnamese charcuterie here. My favourite is the rolled belly Vietnamese "bacon" - more like a porchetta, really.

My favourite sandwich in the city. They make their bread fresh in-house. It could be just a matter of mere minutes between coming out of the oven and being stuffed with very fresh filling. Fast service - the lineups are often long, but move fast.
