Spotted September 04, 2011Los Angeles has some fine traditional deli options. But it's Langer's that boasts the reputation as having the best pastrami in the city. -

Spotted September 04, 2011The birthplace of the french dip steak sandwich is here at Phillippe's in Los Angeles. You cannot go wrong with the classic beef au jus. -

Spotted August 26, 2011A FoodSherpas list wouldn't be complete without a BBQ representative. And while Seattle might not seem like a BBQ Mecca, there are some good options. Look no further than Pecos Pit BBQ for a sloppy, tasty, pulled pork sandwich. -

Spotted August 21, 2011Perhaps the best of the best: Katz's Deli hot patrami and a cream soda. The famous NYC landmark never disappoints.

Spotted August 11, 2011One of my favorites for pastrami: Carnegie Deli in New York. While the pastrami is in a tight race with Katz's for supremacy, Carnegie has perhaps the best knish: tasty mashed potatoes in a buttery shell. Spotted August 11, 2011Perhaps my favorite meal of the trip. An Italian Beef from Beef from the original location. Got hot and sweet peppers, double dipped, and served unwrapped...and on a bed of fries. Been 7 years since I last ordered an Italian Beef.
