Sonoma Recommendations

Must Visit Places in Sonoma County
  • Spot-it-large

    Pizza @ Bovolo

    106 Matheson Street Healdsburg, CA

Sister restaurant to Zazu, this place is actually inside of a bookstore in the adorable little downtown area of Healdsburg. You can also purchase the Black Pig Pinot Noir and Black Pig bacon here.

    Fish 'n Chips @ Betty's Fish 'n' Chips

4046 Sonoma Highway Santa Rosa, CA

Betty's is a no frills, super casual restaurant with awesome Fish and Chips! I can't vouch for anything else on the menu because I never order anything else and I would suggest you do the same! They use fresh cod and the batter is not too thick. Malt vinegar is a must. Definitely one of my guilty pleasures whenever I visit. (Price is around $10, no reservations needed.)

  • Spot-it-large

    Dinner @ Cyrus Restaurant

    29 North St Healdsburg, CA

  • Spot-it-large

Spring Farm Tour Weekend @ Redwood Hill Farm & Creamery

    5480 Thomas Road Sebastopol, CA

If you are in Sonoma in the spring time, they offer open tours on select weekends. You can taste different goat milk cheeses and yogurt, learn how to milk a goat, and you can also spend time with the baby goats! They are so sweet! This is such a fun way to spend an afternoon.

  • Spot-it-large

Dinner @ Madrona Manor | A Wine Country Inn & Restaurant

    1001 Westside Road Healdsburg, CA

Although I have never stayed at the inn (which is hightly rated), I have eaten dinner here for Thanksgiving. This is a good special occasion restaurant when you want something quiet and relaxing. (Price is $50+ and reservations are a must.)

  • Spot-it-large

    Wine Tasting @ DeLoach Vineyards

1791 Olivet Rd Santa Rosa, CA

DeLoach wines are all quality. Their Russian River Valley wines are particularly good and their Tawny Port is out of this world! They also practice biodynamic farming, which means they are keeping the beautiful land of Sonoma healthy!

  • Spot-it-large

Dinner @ Zazu Restaurant and Farm

3535 Guerneville Road Santa Rosa/Sonoma County, CA

This is my favorite Restaurant in Sonoma County. It looks like a small barn and has a garden (which is where they get a lot of their ingredients) behind the restaurant. You will not be disappointed! It is good to make reservations but you can stop by and sit at the bar. Be sure to try their house made salumi and amazing Black Pig Pinot Noir. Take some of their Black Pig bacon home if you can! (Dinner is around $30-50)

  • Spot-it-large

Wine Tasting @ Graton Ridge Cellars

3541 Gravenstein Highway North Sebastopol, CA

Usually when I go to a winery for a tasting there are 1 or 2 stand out wines. All of the wines here stand out. This is a very small family run place. There is a picnic table, bbq, and bocce ball court right outside the tasting room. This is a great place to bring lunch and sit outside. Try the Apple Port with blue cheese and the Zinfandel Port with chocolate. Don't leave without saying hi to Bela the Border Collie!
