As the world’s biggest lifestyle site for men, there’s nothing we love more than helping guys find the best things out there. This includes knowing exactly what and where to eat.
So we’re looking for your help, Foodspotters. AskMen is on the hunt for the most macho meal in existence. Do T-bones amplify testosterone? Will a bacon-burger explosion put hair on your chest? Is there such thing as a manly salad? You tell us. Simply snap a photo and add it to our Alpha Meal Contest Guide.
Our favorite submissions will be featured on AskMen in a “Top 10: Manly Meals” slideshow, with credits back to the Foodspotter. This is a great opportunity for exposure, as we get over 17-million readers a month. We will also pick one grand prize winner from the top 10. This winner will be awarded the ultimate mini-fridge (which is shaped like a toolbox) from our friends at Micro Fridge (http://www.garagefridge.com/index.html) so that you can store those manly leftovers in style. To top it off, we’ll also throw in some AskMen swag as part of the grand prize.

Porters are dark ales without the roasted malt character of a stout. Our porter is a brown porter with a very smooth balanced profile. 7 types of malt add to the complexity of this ale. Challenger, Willamette and Cascade hops are added in the brew kettle Originally called Pearl Street Porter from when the brewery was in Boulder briefly. It's one of the original Gordon Knight creations. Occasionally we make a coffee porter with this beer. Alc/vol 4.6%. Bu (bittering units) 32.
This place is open 24hours a day, for the break-of-dawn breakfast enthusiast to the hard core post-clubbing late night supper warrior. The setup is simple. A hearty herbal broth populated with everything piggy (pork nay sayers beware). Ribs, the holy pork-belly, intestine, ears, and of course some tofu/mushrooms/greens for good measure (all bubbling in a earthern claypot). If you don't grow a manly chest of pubes after this meat, I am not sure what else would.
Made with two half-pound Vortex sirloin patties stacked inside three grilled cheese sandwiches, topped with two fried eggs, eight slices of American cheese, ten slices of bacon and plenty of mayo on the side. With this burger we choose your side for you, and it’s a big bowl of fries and tots covered in our cheesy-cheese goo. This super-stack is a heart attack waiting to happen. Enjoy
This 1lb 97% lean, local grass fed Longhorn beef burger placed on fresh onions, pickles, tomatoes, and leaf lettuce, accompanied by cheese, bacon and jalapenos will blow your socks off! Literally, the best feast of a meal I have ever had! Throw in some fries and homemade cherry cobbler and homemade vanilla ice cream! I waited in line for an hour and a half, but worth it!
The presiding chef over this event was Chef Tracey Bloom--Table 1280, Top Chef Season 7, Ray's at Killer Creek. So, I was telling Chef Tracey that the sausage was "killer!" Her response: This is what got me kicked off The Show (her voice inflection requires capitalization)--they hated I used whole fennel seed. Just like sports, food service (not to mention competition) is an "any given Sunday" gig. Maybe that fateful day on "The Show" was an off day, maybe the fennel seed wasn't fresh (is that possible?). Who knows. The day I had it, Awesome!
Not a great picture but this is the Phaal as seen on Man vs. Food. It's quite a spicy dish. The key is to eat it as fast as you can. The chef needs to wear a gas mask to cook this (no joke). People who finish the challenge get a beer, a certificate and a picture on their website.
For the ultimate alpha drink, I'd like to present this concoction from the Girl and the Fig in Sonoma, CA. It may seem like an ordinary cocktail, but no one will be questioning your manliness...not with it's ingredients of bourbon, one of the oldest guy's liquors around, and, yes, bacon, every guy's favorite meat!
The ultimate steak at one of the premier, and small group of Michelin-starred, steakhouses in the country. The Tomahawk Bone In Ribeye is their largest steak and it absolutely dwarfs both the plate and the tiny spoon placed beside it for comparison. Doesn't get any manlier than this!
