This guide is Inspired by my wife having recently been diagnosed with potentially deadly soy, legume and nut allergies. As a life-long lover of all the aforementioned ingredients, she and millions of others all over the world suffer from not being able to enjoy what many of us take for granted. This may well be the most difficult Foodspotting Guide to date... it will require participants to be somewhat familiar with allergy issues and know what the ingredients are before posting thus showing the honesty and care the eatery has for their diners. Let's create a guide that will help those with such allergies to enjoy great food and eateries all over the world! All meat, no fillers. GE always ask what oil a salad dressing is made with. The French use walnut oil a lot. And anything fried could be a problem, since peanut oil is popular.

Please do not let her eat a macaron or amaretti cookie as they are both loaded with almond flour. Same for some shortbread cookie recipes. Her allergy will get worse with the more exposure she has, so be careful.

I feel for your wife, I have a blue cheese (mold) allergy and have been stung a few times when it was not mentioned as an ingredient on the menu listing....can you imagine meatloaf with blue cheese? Now I ask first, taste later.
