As you know, OpenTable acquired Foodspotting in 2013, not only for its amazing content, but also for its incredibly loyal and engaged community. Since then, you’ve been instrumental in how friends and experts alike discover the best dishes across the world, and for that, we just want to say thank you.

But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. After much deliberation, we have chosen to discontinue the Foodspotting app and website in early May. If you’d like to keep all the photos you’ve captured over the years, we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to download your content. Click here for details

On behalf of our entire team, thank you again for using our product and for all the feedback you’ve provided along the way–we couldn’t have done it without you. If you have any questions or concerns, let us know and we’ll be sure to follow up directly.

NVFF Movies to Dine For 2012 Contest - Napa Valley Film Festival

Napa Valley Film Festival · Napa Scavenger Hunt · created over 5 years ago

SPOT THE MOST ITEMS from this movie-themed guide by Sunday to win a grand gift from one of our wine partners and the "Master Foodspotter" title. Vote for your favorite dishes so that the restaurant can win too!

(Rules: Upload your photos by 7pm PT on Sunday the 11th to enter. You must be 21 or older and submit original photos to qualify; we'll announce the winner at our awards ceremony on Sunday and send the prize by mail afterwards! You don't have to be present to win.)

The Napa Valley Film Festival (NVFF) has teamed up with Foodspotting once again to create a movie-inspired restaurant guide that help Passholders explore the legendary dining spots around Napa Valley while attending the Festival, November 7-11, 2012.

Take a break between screening films and be sure to "spot" these movie inspired dishes to win. Three awards will be given as part of the “Movies to Dine For” Contest:

• Master Foodspotter - awarded to the contestant who “spots” the most menu items during the five days of the festival.
• Crowd Favorite - awarded to the restaurant whose entry or entries have been spotted the most during the festival.
• Best Menu Item - awarded to the chef with the best presentation as voted on by the Foodspotting Jury.

So be sure to spot your dishes and vote for your favorite menu item!
