Spotted December 19, 2011My grandmother's traditional Greek Spinach Pie (aka Spa-na-KO-pee-ta), with crunchy flaky crust, tons of hot gushing spinach, greens, leeks and onions with a little crumbled feta cheese. Variations include sturdier, hard "shell-like" crust and more dense "cake-like" flour crust, depending on the occasion and who's making it. Love! -
Spotted December 19, 2011Awesome grilled sandwich with turkey slices, grilled orange bell peppers, sweet, juicy caramelised onions, topped with a salt&peppered runny fried egg.. Because a snack isn't a snack if it isn't damn tasty.-

Spotted December 14, 2011My new great sin with a cup of tea, I think. Tastier than fresh strawberries, way better than strawberry jam and absolutely no comparison to your average too-tart raspberry jams or preserved fruit. Heavenly. Really turns your piece of toast into a classic danish pastry.-

Spotted December 13, 2011This stuff was reeeaaally good after all! Very intense, but in a moreish, lick you lips sort of way. Like having lemon pie without all the other distractions. Also great smeared on pancakes..!-

Em M @all, it is truly fabulous! I've been missing out, it's not at all well-known in Greece. @Adan, as a chef, I'm sure you can do amazing things with it.! I'd love to hear some! :)
Adan I received a Panetone (Italian X-mas Bread) as a gift, with the instruction to cut is across and put the lemon curd in between as a layer. Hardly can wait to try it.

Spotted December 12, 2011Yummy, moist and gooey muffins, with wholewheat flour, oats, honey, bananas, raspberries, raisins, walnuts, flaked almonds aaaand orange zest. Fingerlickin' good and healthy to boot! Ate these all day and didn't feel bad. Success!! :D-

Spotted December 12, 2011Hot spicy homemade chicken soup with potato, leeks, broccoli, carrots, sweetcorn mushrooms, courgettes, spices and thick chilli paste.. Mmmmhmm, sick cooking just got a whole lot better! ;)-

Spotted November 14, 2011All the yummy foreign products I could get my hands on! Danish Raspberry Jam, Old-fashioned home made Lemon Curd, Molasses, Chocolate (!!!!) were the best. Stay tuned as I test each one seperately in the coming days (e-hem, hours).-

Spotted November 14, 2011Risotto with Shrimp, Wild Mushroom, Courgette and Parsley, doused in Ouzo @ The House of Fun (Crete)
My Dad's specialty. The name says it all I think... :) Sooo yummy and gooey, risoto all'onda (i.e. in waves) as it's meant to be. Next time I'll be making this, yeay! (My Dad's notorious for not following recipes, the only way to steal a dish from him is to secretly watch him make it while furiously taking notes!)-

mysecretathens.gr Maybe the best burger in athens. We loved it! Haven't tried the pizza yet
Theo Some of the pizzas ate excellent but some not so much. Definitely the materials they use are top quality, it is some times the recipes (of some) that missing something. The burger is top notch ( the one with the bacon delicious) and the owner is a very nice guy who will treat you a glass or two of wine. Must go in Athens!
