Eating my way through the suburbs of L.A.
And smoked almonds to start. This is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant. We had no idea when we stopped. My friend wanted a greasy burger and with a name like Fatty's, she figured this would do.
Loved loved these! Crispy Lacinto kale spears with smoked sea salt. So good.
$8: Dates stuffed with select dry jack and wrapped in smoky vegetarian "bacon." I don't like bacon wrapped dates at all, but these I liked. I guess because there was no bacon.
$10: Fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic and basil.
$12: Three mushroom varieties, creamy vegan cheese, olive tapenade on a gluten-free crust. Robust flavors. Very good.
$12: Pan fried pate of organic walnuts and butternut squash with cumin, fennel slaw, and orange vinaigrette. Very good. Wish it came with more of the fennel slaw.
$9: Organic tempeh in four spices, pan fried and drizzled with red pepper sauce and lime zest.
Raspberry cream inside angel food cake and whipped cream.
Nice and dense and tangy. Like a New York style.
$4.75: big serving. A little cream puff included.
$5.25. Big. Had to take the last 1/2 to go. And a little cream puff included.
$8: Ham, turkey, bacon, jalapeño, basil pesto, fruit jam, lettuce, tomato, onions. Fruit cup included.
