Back at my usual haunt. Today I had the Swiss Schnitzel, which was their daily special. I'm going to nom this because it was delicious; smoked Swiss cheese, ham and tartar sauce. But wow, ever big! I just barely got through this one. Come hungry!
In for my usual schnitzel at Schnitzel Works, I took a cabbage roll to go just to try it. Very nice! The cabbage was tender yet firm, not soggy. The filling had a nice firm density. The sauce had a nice tang.
Not to be confused with Louis' Pizza that I also reviewed! Working late I the opportunity to try Uncle Louis' Special. Nice stuff! Not too greasy, excellent crust. Maybe even better than the other Louis!
What a surprise this place turned out to be. I found the name rather misleading though. This is a Lebanese restaurant. Setting them apart from the others in this over-saturated shawarma-and-falafel is their fresh fish menu. The fish themselves are on display, on ice, near the order counter, and you choose the ones you want. I had the whitting. It was deep fried whole with flour and spices. Delicious, perfectly fried. The sides were Lebanese pickles, salad, garlic potatoes, fries, and pita.
