this burger was cooked to medium perfection. it was very juicy and large. i am guessing around half a pound. the roquefort cheese is a blue cheese from france. it complimented the beef superbly. the brioche bun was soft yet toasty. the thin cut shoestring fries were awesome. they are fried with small garlic chips and fresh rosemary. it is a great combination. this was all around one of my favorite burger and dishes that i've had in awhile! this place is a must go for anyone living or visiting NYC.
I was feeling adventurous and wanted to try something different and "off the path." The Spotted Pig had a few of these type of dishes. I surprisingly really enjoyed this appetizer. The chicken liver was minced and cooked in a savory gravy type sauce. It worked really well on the slices of toast. This reminded me of a Filipino dish, Dinuguan, which is made with pig's blood....but this was way more appetizing and edible for me, haha!
