The literal meaning is "fried (with) soy sauce" and it is made with dark soy sauce ("si-io dam"), light soy sauce ("si-io khao"), garlic, broad rice noodles, called "kuai-tiao sen yai" in Thai (commonly abbreviated to just "sen yai" meaning "big strip"), Chinese broccoli, egg, and some form of thinly sliced meat — commonly pork, chicken or beef

This was so nice, I could not stop eating this. That or I liked the sugar high it gave me after a hard day's (morning's) work!

The curry is quite thick to prevent it from oozing out of the snack. But this? This was a softie!

The dish had been known in ancient Siam in various forms for centuries. The variant of noodle was brought to the ancient Thai capital of Ayuthaya by Vietnamese traders. However, it was first made popular as a national dish by Luang Phibunsongkhram when he was prime minister during the 1930s and 1940s, partly as an element of his campaign for Thai nationalism and centralization, and partly for a campaign to reduce rice consumption in Thailand. I didn't actually try this but my friend didn't really like it that much. I guess they should stick to meatballs! I was going to add facts about Salmon but found information about Parasites in Salmon fish - so let's stick to nothing shall we? ;)

Well, I just had to because im so close to it - had to just try... So the Meatballs are minced meat formed into round balls and then fried. Serve with boiled potatoes, lingonberry jam and cream sauce!
