Kani cream korokke under a bed of rice, Japanese curry, topped with cheese and broiled.. And served with a pappadum and yogurt lassi. Osaka meets India.
With a coddled egg. Just so-so, but cheap.
Fantastic blend of fish, pork and chicken in the soup. The niboshi balances the fattiness of the pork bones. Über thin noodles. Two types of chashu, belly and shoulder pork, boiled egg with medium yolk, nori, bamboo shoots, and a heap of green onions. ¥750 The kid always chooses ramen for lunch, not me! :-)
Consistently great, shared with my 8 year-old daughter. She ate most of it!
At JR Kyoto Station. Deceptively delicious. Thin noodles, soup not as thick as expected for Tonkotsu, but really slurpable! I ordered another serving of noodles! JPY 750

A cold variation with a refreshing and flavorful broth of white sesame. This restaurant is not expensive. Good cost-performance.
Not so spicy that you couldn't taste anything but the chilies. Actually, it didn't need anything extra. I like to add a spoon of vinegar to mine. 普通に美味しい。
Just as expected. I wish the prawns were fried a bit crispier before being slathered in the mayonnaise sauce.

Shiokoji is fermented salted rice. It's taking Japan by storm. Just baste a bit of shiokoji and meat or vegetable and the result is delicious!
