Delicious homemade turkey with cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo on a sub. The only way it could be better is if the turkey was warm and it was topped with a heaping helping of mashed potatoes and gravy.
Any place that bills itself as the "greatest sandwich in America" had better be good. I haven't had them all, so I can't accurately judge their claim, but this was definitely the best cheese steak I've had in Iowa. Made with actual steak (not roast beef) and topped with hot peppers that aren't afraid to be hot, I'll be coming back to try the rest of the menu.
The newZago crust - New York thin meets Chicago deep dish - is a nice innovation, but I still prefer the subtle sweetness of Zoey's deep dish crust. For my money, Zoey's is Eastern Iowa's #1 pizzeria. If they want to get innovative, how about introducing a whole wheat crust?
