You might not think that Pipers Pub has a fantastic veggie salad, but they do. Also good: the Stilton and Rasher Salad (sans rashers).
Sadly, this roll is falling off the menu very soon. It's the winter seasonal item from the "specialty rolls" section on the Tamari menu. Sweet potato in tempura batter along with tuna and avocado.
Really nice flavor and presentation on this one. The charred herb crust maintained some herb flavor and added a nice layer of texture around the fish. The lentils underneath mixed up the dish a little and provided some nice contrast.
This wasn't actually tofu. It was some sort of soy protein (tempeh?) formed into smaller (2.5") chunks and thrown on the grill. Unlike a tofu experience last week, they didn't over-char on the grill and still maintained a decent amount of moisture. All that said, it was the NC style barbecue sauce that threw the experience over the top.
