I spotted this drink in the cocktail section and was really intrigued. The waitress told me it will be featured in Beer Advocate next month so I knew I had to have it. It is made with Beefeater gin, a whole egg, apricot marmalade, chocolate bitters, pilsner beer, and a touch of cinnamon. it's a strange drink that is thick and smooth kind of like eggnog but still tastes bright and bubbly from the beer.
I'm always so excited to return here and eat this incredible hero. It's enormous and so juicy because they drop the thin-sliced roast pork directly into a hot vat of jus before placing it on the hero roll with the bitter broccoli rabe greens and the sharp provolone which successfully cuts the bitterness of the greens perfectly.
This breakfast ended up being enormous. In this huge clay bowl is a ton of well seasoned tomato sauce, runny eggs, cheese, beans, tortilla, and salsa. It was quite an excellent start to the day.
