This is definitely one of the better sushi deals in the city. The rolls are huge and loaded with a ton of fresh fish. For my combo I had a Rock & Roll (salmon skin, avocado, eel), a Spicy Salmon Roll, and a White Tuna Jalapeño Roll along with a Miso Soup.
This little mug full of hot chocolate comes served with an order of churros. It's not hot chocolate how we normally think of it in the US, instead it is basically a cup of dense, thick, rich, melty chocolate. It's very good and pairs well with the light, crispy churros. And yes, I did pick up the mug and drink the last of the chocolate once the churros were gone. No shame.
These churros are seriously good. I haven't had churros like this since I was in Spain. They are light, crisp, and not at all greasy. They come lightly sugared and served with a cup of hot chocolate for dipping.
This may be a petite sandwich, but it really packs in a ton of flavor. Between griddled white bread you will find thinly sliced, salty, jamon Serrano; rich, nutty, Mahon cheese; and the sweet Spanish quince paste called membrillo. The combination of salty, nutty, and sweet makes for a really excellent sandwich.
This sizeable sandwich comes served on really great, crusty bread. Inside is a bounty of tender, grilled calamari served with garlicky aioli, parsley, and red peppers.
Not where I was originally walking to, but I couldn't resist when I saw that their excellent cheesesteaks were a discounted special of the day. It's a great, freshly cooked, cheesy, and well seasoned cheesesteak. It comes on a great Amoroso roll imported from Philly. This is one of the few places I am willing to order a cheesesteak in NYC.
This hot dog is absolutely enormous. It's at least a foot in length, is very juicy, and was cooked well on the spinning grill. I added sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard to mine.
These are completely smothered in garlic. I love garlic, so I love these fries!
