Who am I? I am a 5'9 former model who loves to eat great food in my hometown Oklahoma City and my 2nd home away from home, Dallas/Ft. worth, Texas. Food is my passion. I enjoy going to try out new places to eat. I do hate when people send or suggest a place to eat just because it is expensive. Expensive food does not always mean that it’s "the best dish in life" just because the prices are expensive. However, I do love Mahogany's, The Ranch, Mickey Mantles (brick town okc) and Red Prime Steak places that are on the expensive side, but they are worth it. The rapper Jay- Z stated in his song PARTY LIFE “it’s kind of hard to go back to hamburger helper, when your use to filet mignon; babe, but it’s your choice!" So when it’s my choice I fine dine when I like! I love to find mom and pop diners. I listen to what the locals in an area suggest as a good place to eat. Then most days I just hop in my car, drive and do my own exploring of places to eat in Oklahoma and in Texas. Yes it’s that serious! For example PO Melvin’s in Irving, Texas off the beltline has the best chicken fried steak that it is worth a 3 hour drive. I have my own dish at one of my favorite places to eat. Misty’s Pasta at Cafe 7 in Oklahoma City is a crowd favorite. Yes I have pasta named after me. Kudos for me! It’s a big thing to me, since I am a food blogger/self-acclaimed food critique :). If it were at all possible I would eat all day. After all who doesn’t like to enjoy great food? A way to my heart is through my stomach!
I love this cake would be perfect for anyone who is going through a bad divorce. Its life everyone doesn’t have a happy clean cut divorce. marriage can get really messy, this cake is a funny illustration for anyone who wants to have a divorce celebration. I love cake decorators that are really creative for their clients.
red cross oklahoma donation cupcakes - I was so happy to see that Sprinkles cupcakes in Houston will be donating money to the oklahoma tornado that has left over 13,000 people homeless in my state. Last weekend 16 tornadoes touch down in various places in oklahoma, moore oklahoma just happened to be the city town that was really hit hard. I love the red cross cupcake look this is very cute. Thank you Sprinkles Cupcakes again it really means a lot. Every little bit helps. I have friends that lost everything.
Two words can describe this waffle house, (cross contamination)! I met a friend of mines for late night breakfast. The staff was friendly at first then they somehow forgot about you once your order was complete. I didn’t like that everything is cooked or skillet is placed on the cook top. After every order it’s just wiped down. My # 1 problem. I don’t like eggs, the yellow part makes me sick if there is residue left on the grill and let’s say sausage or bacon is cooked in the same spot. This smell and taste makes me very queasy to my stomach. I watched the cook text with one hand and then cook with the other hand. Never washing his hands unless he came from the back. This cook had finished making an omelet or that’s what it looked like. he took the skillet of the gas burner and sat it directly on the cooktop, I suppose to keep warm. Once he flipped the waffle maker he then plated the omelet. Up next was an order for bacon, 2 double steak burgers and hash browns. Guess where area this food went, right where the bottom of the skillet just was. He didn’t wipe the area down or anything. I was grossed out but my friend kept eating. I didn’t even want a glass of water at that point.

I tried smokin okies for the 1st time at lunch, downtown Oklahoma city had a lunch event with live music with 90’S tunes of all genre music. The lines were crazy long , but it was worth it. I chose the smoked chicken sandwich with spicy pinto beans. The chicken was well seasoned with that good smoke wood flavor all the way through. The chicken was not dry. The bun was drenched in bbq sauce, was not my favorite. I would have liked the sauce to been on the side because both buns were drenched, which made the toasted bun , not seem so toasted. I don’t like wet bread! But the chicken was so awesome it didn’t matter. I really like the spicy pinto beans they had jalapeno, bacon and onions. I just wished that the side would have been larger being that sides were ale cart. 2 go boxes would have been nice too. But I will stop to eat at smoking okies again.

Watermelon Tea?! in Suburb Edmond Oklahoma?!!!!??? When I saw this flavor I thought someone was playing tricks on me or maybe my eyesight. lol . This kind of flavor ( watermelon) is usally found in the urban areas of the city. It was a perfect combination of brewed tea. Not to mention there was a woman sitting across from me eating sliced watermelon for only $1.12 a pack. After drinking my tea I was craving watermelon slices. Apparently she had purchased the last pack, so I opted for Honeydew melon. Ha and they say black people are the only ones who like watermelon :)
