I mixed up my BBQ this time by trying their garden salad and was really impressed! Same large serving, lots of fresh crisp veggies, and the brisket was as excellent as ever.

Named "bee sting" in German, this delicious dessert is made up of light sweet bread filled with vanilla cream and topped with honey, caramel, and almonds. Wow.

While not exactly what you'd call "authentic" Japanese makizushi, this vegetarian roll was one of the best I've ever eaten! The chefs also threw in a few bonus crab rolls for free. Love it.

I picked this one up at the Farmer's Market this morning. Very yummy! There's a core of dulche de leche inside the cupcake, too, which was a surprise.

Since I only got a shot of the bakery last time, here's the almond ring I mentioned. Yes, it tastes just as good as it looks!

Indochine recently started offering a variety of Vietnamese tacos. I'd never heard of such a thing, so I tried their beef one (sorry, it was - I'm assuming - a Vietnamese name for the beef that I don't recall) as offered in their taco & pho combo plate. The pho was delicious, as usual, but in the taco I have found my new favorite Indochine dish. I thought nothing could top their lemongrass chicken Banh Mi, but I was wrong!

I'm always happy when I can find this rosewater treat...although I'll admit I don't know which I like more: the candy itself or the nostalgia of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe memories, haha. (heads-up: the candy store itself does NOT allow photographs - I'm sure I'm not the only one who wanted to take one, that place is awesome!)

My favorite Thai dish, I order it at every Thai place I visit. Talay surprised me with some of the freshest veggies and papaya I've had anywhere. Heads-up: they also serve this with the characteristic chili heat. If you've never had som tam here before or never with a kick, have a glass of water handy.
