We read a ton of reviews about this place (all of them good), so we decided to give it a try. Everything that we read said that the innkeepers were really friendly and chatty, and also that the food was great. They were right about the food being great, but not so much about the inkeepers.
On the second day, another couple came to stay and we discovered that it was only John and I that the inkeepers did not want to talk to. Unfortunately, the other couple was caucasian which kind of led us to believe that they were not super excited about having ethnic guests.
If you plan to stay here and try the delicious food, I suggest that you leave your salwaar suits and saris at home. I will probably not stay again, but not because of the food.
