For those interested in the difference between the stewed pork (fatty kurobata) and the regular pork, here is a photo. The stewed pork is much richer, fattier, and more tender.

Much darker and saltier than a version I had a year ago....the pork is still tasty and has a good cut of fatty and lean portions.
