It's a ball of sticky rice, pounded til it's smooth! The texture is like... an earlobe I guess. (I realize that sounds gross, but it is my favorite food in all the world!) Then you take the ball of smooth sticky rice and wrap up some delicious filling in it!

Yeah -- the traditional kind can be kind of bland. Did you try mochi ice cream or mochi with bean in it or something? Come visit us sometime!
