Half coast to coast cheesecake and half mango peach. Good flavor. Rice pudding has great texture. Taste much better than it looks and the store is really sweet. Love those reusable containers.

Well... it doesn't look good. It really doesn't. Plus the fact that you're eating it inside a spaceship doesn't help (harsh, flashy neons & tacky futuristic counter...) but how does it taste you're gonna ask me? Well, it's simply and ridiculously, DELICIOUS!
You know those places that everyone rave about? "If you're in SF go to Tartine!" "If you're in Montreal go to Schwartz's!" etc. Well, "if you're in NYC go to Rice To Riches" is something I've been hearing a lot since I got here and to tell you the truth, it delivered the goods, big time.
I went for the traditional Rice Pudding with no toppings. That's the only way I could tell if this place was legit. No glitters, no fancy flavoured syrup to hide behind, can you make a delicious traditional rice pudding or not? And the answer is yes. Rich, creamy, perfect consistency and flavours. I couldn't help myself but 'hummmming' after every bite.
$6.5 for the small size, it's a bit pricey for rice and milk but eh, you're in a spaceship.
