@Tom, pig killing. In Spain, in small villages, it's always a party where you eat and drink as if tomorrow doesn't exist!

I'm not a fan of wines from Rioja, but this young wine wasn't bad at all.

I just bought 6 bottles of Spanish wine from different regions. What's your fav top 3 Spanish wines?
          César
My 3 favorite regions can be: #1 without any doubt, Toro, strong and fruity red wines (though you can find some rose and white are not frequent); #2 Ribera del Duero, close to Toro and very similar, not as strong as Toro wines but fruity too; and lets choose some whites for #3, Rueda (they also have red, but they are famous for whites). // What did you buy?

I bought (1) Gran Feudo reserva 2003 - blend of Tempranillo-Cabernet-Merlot (2) Los Condes Gran Reserva 2001 Pla de Bages (3) Marques de Riscal Rioja Reserva 2006 --- I've always love Spanish wines for many years now and it's the best wines in the world for the value & quality. I started to drink more Spanish wines in the last few years because I can now buy in Shanghai. Top French & California wines are getting so rediculously expensive. And for a fraction of the price (under $50) I can get some great Spanish wines - cheers!

Marqués de Riscal and Gran Feudo are 2 classics, easy to find in many homes and restaurants; I don't know the other one.
