It's honestly been way too long since I've had soup dumplings. I love them so much and these are some of my favorites in Manhattan. They come out steaming hot with nice, thin, delicate skins and a ton of "broth" inside each dumpling.
These are still my favorite XLB in Chinatown. They are large and very brothy. Today, they were thinner and more delicate that normal so we had to be really careful not to tear the skins and lose the broth.
Tied for best XLB in Manhattan with Shanghai Asian Cuisine (though I think the two restaurants are related). Large XLB, with thin skins, lots of very porky broth, and a crumbly pork mixture inside. Excellent with a bit of black vinegar.
