Alexa Andrzejewski I hear these are fantastic! What is a popover like? Like a cream puff without cream? Or like a croissant?
Jo the outer layer is super flaky (our table was a mess), the inside is nice and warm and a bit tender because its freshly baked. i can see the resemblence with both a cream-less cream puff and a croissant...it's a hybrid of the two...but warm...and great with the strawberry butter for sure
Food and Wine Maven Just had this for the first time yesterday in SF as well! I adore the strawberry butter and the inside of the popover was tasty. The outside was overbaked for my taste. Interesting how eggy the popover was on the inside.
