Muy LOCO Moco! Honestly, I was never a fan of the Loco Moco dish until I went to Hawaii. I mean, it’s just a hamburger patty, eggs, gravy and rice right!? True, everyone can make this dish and it’s so simple yet there is a special touch that Hawaii has on this dish that makes it taste that much different than other places in the world. I had a craving for this today, and went digging through my loco moco photos from my pending blog pic archive and voila, holy salivations... For those who have never tasted, Loco Moco is a dish native to Hawaiian cuisine. There are many variations, but the essential loco moco consists of white rice, topped with a hamburger patty, a fried egg, and brown gravy. Variations may include chili, bacon, ham, Spam, kalua pork, Portuguese sausage, teriyaki beef, teriyaki chicken, mahi-mahi, and other meats. A proven dish that simplicity in food and dishes creates slaphappy deliciousness!
Read different reviews and this place is supposed to be the best Hawaiian food in Maui. We did take out and hung out in the hotel instead. The patties are good size and the Mac salad is good. The egg is a little over than I like it, and I just feel that it can use a little more salt
