I had my doubts about this one, having forgotten that demi-glace contains tomatoes. However, all my doubts about this dish were extinguished when i took the first bite. The lamb was perfect---none of the gaminess you normally get (which I'm cool with, but hey) and with just the right amount of the grilled taste. I'm hesitant to say char, because it didn't taste like carbon, it was just grilled, you could tell. The demi-glace was velvety and light on the peppers. Just enough to get the suggestion of the bell peppers, but not too much where it overwhelmed everything. The asparagus were fantastic as well. One of the best meals I've had in Berkeley recently.
