      Sopes @ Latino Village
      Want Tried Loved

Sopes at Latino Village in Richmond, Virginia

      Latino Village
      6003 W. Broad St. Richmond, Virginia 23230

Handmade Corn tortilla, with Pastor Meat; Tomato; Lettuce; Beans; Onions: Cheese & Avocado topped off with Red HOT Salsa... The Corn Tortillas are handmade as you can see by the thickness... Really added to the flavor of this dish. I have never heard of Zopes, and I thought I had eaten a lot of Mexican Food...

I have this place listed on Yelp... I too have not heard of Zopes. However someone told me it is close to El Savordan food. ;-)

I enjoy food Ram and I use to work as a Professional Photographer in the past. So, I look at many of the good photos carefully as I like to figure out how they photograph them. It is all about technique, and many people have offered many interesting and good techniques. My technique is just plain and simple I feel. Even though I have a professional still camera, I just use my Droid camera. The first Droid I had was an X. However, I wore it out believe it or not with the camera... So, I went to the X2...

I have never seen it spelled with a Z before. Sopes is pretty common here in L.A. Just like a tostada, but the masa is left thick and chewy instead of thin. You can even buy bags of the pre-made sopes so you can quickly make one at home if you don't have a gramma at home rolling out masa for corn tortillas. =)

She has it on the menu as Zopes. Pronounced as Zoope. Maybe it is a special dish from the part of Mexico she is from.
