Jo the outer layer is super flaky (our table was a mess), the inside is nice and warm and a bit tender because its freshly baked. i can see the resemblence with both a cream-less cream puff and a croissant...it's a hybrid of the two...but warm...and great with the strawberry butter for sureover 2 years ago.
