Spotted August 21, 2011What was missing from the earlier ramen picture?? A soft boiled egg! A $1 later and the picture now looks complete. -
Spotted August 21, 2011The miso paste is mixed with the tonkotsu broth resulting in a nutty, slightly sweet taste. I find it more pronounced than other miso broths I've had and I'm not sure it's for me.-

Spotted June 18, 2011Whenever Nijiya brands a product, I buy it. Usually fresher, healthier (organic wheat) and high quality. They have both shoyu and miso soup bases. -

Spotted January 16, 2011Shalala is a new ramen place in Mountain View. While I enjoyed the rich flavor and the perfect al dente noodles, a large criticism was the oiliness. A thin layer was visible over the entire broth and could be easily remedied.-
