Could smell these from a good ten feet away. Best fries they offer, I think. The garlic is cooked a bit I believe, because the garlic flavor itself was strong but not unpleasant.

Cooked right! These are an effective coating-onion merger, so they're easy to eat. Rich and savory, and insanely crispy.

  • Sweet potato fries @ Pearl's Phat Burgers
    Spotted October 05, 2010
Crinkle-cut, which works well here, but not as well as for regular potatoes. Very sweet. Great fluffy/crispy contrast, but the sweetness plus a milkshake and a burger was too much for me. Still an excellent specimen of sweet potato fries.

  • Fries @ Portillo's Hot Dogs

Their playful crinkle cut may entice you into letting your guard down, but these simple fries are executed so well that they beat every fast-food fry out there, as well as some nicer sit-down places. No skin, just crispy, potato-y and nice.

  • Fish and Chips @ Spud Fish
    Spotted July 02, 2009
These are, without a doubt, the best fish and chips on the face of the earth. Crust is crunchy, fish is mild and flaky, and fries are lacy (crispy where they should be crunchy where they should be) and satisfying.
