Spotted August 21, 2011kohan hand makes all their ice creams (5-6 flavours in total, if my memory serves me correctly). their green tea was ohkay. a tad sweet for my liking, but i imagine a lot of people would like it this way. -
Spotted August 21, 2011quite decent - rich, although a little sweeter than i'd usually like my chocolate (this obviously chalks up to personal preference, though)-

Spotted July 17, 2011but when they say sticky rice, they really mean mochi skin. basically a japanese-styled mochi ice cream dessert. really good, especially as the thin-skinned mochi skin complemented the texture of the ice-cream impeccably, but i'm not sure we were overly impressed by this because it's probably not made in-house. which is a slight disappointment considering the restaurant's positioning.-

Spotted June 23, 2011misleading name, methinks. quite ordinary (shrugs). no pictures of their food, but i can tell you that while it is quite good, it certainly isn't worth the prices they charge. -
Spotted June 23, 2011don't bother with this either. two measly globules of mediocre dango and what tastes like commercial green tea ice cream.-

Spotted January 10, 2011figs poached in marsala on the left, and chocolate sorbet on the right. the fig one had a very distinct fig flavour - quite sweet, as most fig end-products tend to be. the chocolate sorbet, though, i thought was just nice. it's fascinating to watch as they replenish tubs of gelato from the little gelato churning factory they have running in the back of the store. -

Spotted December 27, 2010we loved this so much we ordered a second serve, and our suspicions were confirmed when they told us that a 10 minute wait would be necessary as they were making a new batch - it meant that they really did make their own mochi. it had an authentic stickiness in the texture, and actually carried a subtle rice flavour, as opposed to most other mochis that taste only like flour. the peanut-sugar blend was heavier and earthier than the commercial sugar often served. -
