an abundance of oh-so-slightly-sweeter than usual sauce over seven balls of creamy yumness. great takoyaki - just not as great as sakanaya's.

ironically, i feel like sakanaya fared a lot better where raw fish wasn't concerned at all - we were surprised at how amazing their takoyaki was. i've had my fair share of incredibly mediocre takoyaki, so i didn't anticipate the slight crustiness of these octopus balls that have the most decadently soft, molten insides. and with a moreish savouriness to its flavour too.

runny black sesame filling. check out the red bean sesame balls sighting to note the texture of the innards.

pretty decent - melty on the inside with the slightest bit of crispness on the skin. various fillings - i had an octopus and another scallop one. fillings were rather chewy. i'm not sure if they're meant to be that way, though. and at $8.00 for six of these particularly small takoyakis...

so bouncy, one of mine bounced onto the table and off again to land into my chilli sauce bowl - it really was quite a spectacle.

my favourite kind - thin skinned and crispy (thanks to the sesame) with just the right amount of filling.

not bad, not great. a moreish kind of chewy.

mix of prawn and octopus flavoured. was rather meh.
