Spotted August 11, 2011this is going to contradict slightly the previous reviews i wrote for fidel's, but i'm starting to wonder why fidel's is so popular. okay, actually i'm not, i know the answer to that question - friendly service, a hippie/indie vibe, old-school milkshakes, a visually appealing cabinet (i swear, there must be some sort of psychological science behind the sensory appeal of this, even if one doesn't actually get anything from the cabinet). doughy, too tough (overmixed?), flavourless batter. one of the worse muffins i've had in a while now. -

Spotted November 03, 2010homg so, so good. best muffin in town so far. you could taste every single one of the four flavours mentioned - the ginger and pumpkin scents were ridiculously overpowering and there were chunks of crystallised ginger, mushy pumpkin, date bits and toasted coconut shavings in the moist, crumbly batter. and the skin was the perfect kind of crunchy too. WIN-
Lyn got a recipe?

Spotted September 06, 2010only had a bite out of this - to be frank, i don't remember it to be much different from the spinach and feta. can't say i'll be in a rush to come back -

Spotted September 06, 2010would've been okay if it was warmed up. also a little more floury than i would've liked -

Spotted September 06, 2010don't get this. batter tasted floury, very slightly sugary, and not at all chocolatey. -

Spotted September 06, 2010very... healthy tasting. grainy and not at all sweet - filling, too. i thought it was okay, but i know for a fact that many would be repelled by its wholesome flavour. mostly carrot-ty - the banana chunks seem to be put in only as an afterthought.
