meei / pancakes

love the texture - very unusually grainy, but i loved it that way. might have needed to put more sugar into the batter or more sweet liquids to go with becausse it was a tad bland (believe me - that ain't enough drizzled honey or poached berries to go with), but otherwise a decent pancake effort.

quite decent. not as chocolatey as i'd expected it to be. batter itself is mildly cocoa-like, with chocolate nibs suspended throughout. a gummy, not fluffy sort of pancake - not a bad thing, but some may not like it as much as a fluffy version. topped with a cherry sauce and buttery mascarpone.

huge happy stack of pancakes i partially dismantle to more accurately depict the gloriousness of its bountiful fillings. with bananas, mixed berries and toasted almonds. while the pancakes were a little drier than i'd like, it's pillowiness and fluffiness would probably be appreciated by some.

ugh. skin wayyy too thick and far too many layers for the measly amount of mango chunks and cream they put in. flavoured decently enough, but the ratio of the components used are not to my liking.

the boysenberry compote was gorgeous, as was the lemon curd - not a single tinge of a bitter aftertaste. on the downside, i thought the liquid to solid ratio was too low and i was wanting for more lemon curd, honey, whatever, to soak my pancakes in. i suspect that the pancakes were banana flavoured too, which is cool, but might've led to the gummy texture of the pancakes

the infamous. such a nice nommy snack for $2.50 - filling's as much as they can offer without having the pancake rupture messily

thick, large piece of heaven with chunks of macadamia and a great batter with the right amount of fluffy. allows liberal amounts of any topping you want - i of course had to take advantage of such a privilege and order cream, custard and passionfruit sauce to go with. try their toasted sandwiches as well - good stuff
