hooooooome! let me go home! home is wherever i'm with you (ie- the mud house, usually). so glad to be back from Chicago.

little Em gave me some of her latte, bless her heart. it was really good.

finally, finally found a decent, balanced mocha in Chicago. also, plus, this place was freakin cute, (and the baristas were freakin cute).

note. this was very low on durian. BUT! the pastry chef did laugh at my mom when she ordered it for me, and Edward Calvey, of edwardcalvey.com did respond with an "ewwwwwww!", so i would call this adventure a success.

not a huge fan of green tea flavoured desserts, but this was pretty good.

i was actually pretty underwhelmed by this shop, however i think i've just been spoiled by Sump. this was a decent cappuccino. definitely the best one in a ten mile radius.

excuse the horrid yellow lighting of the french market, because the poire helene was incredible. i am so deeply regretting that i did not have them wrap up a tiramisu to take home. everything here looked so good.

erring a bit on the sweet side, but it did kind of taste like a s'more, so that was awesome!

mussels in a garlic white wine sauce. these were fantastic!
