Spotted February 10, 2012Otro clásico...sumándole las chupetas de azúcar :-) / Another classic when doing the trip to the top of El Ávila Mountain in Caracas. Very dense hot cocoa. Add the sugar lollypops and you have a trip down memory lane :-)-

Spotted August 19, 2011Seattle is very fortunate to have Marie & Frères. Not only their confections are delicate and beyond exquisite, you could stay in their cozy store and listen to Marie-Françoise (owner) talk about chocolate for hours. This is the blend of dense, creamy coconut ice cream, milk chocolate and cocoa nibs. All textures and flavors compliment—and even seduce—each other. Like I said before, this store get extra love due to its commitment with fair trade and labor wages, the respect for environmental sustainability and carefully controlled small batches. Spotted July 24, 2011I was giddy to find this mini chocolate bar at Husky Deli in West Seattle. These chocolates remind me of happy moments in Europe during my childhood and teenage years. Family trips and wonderful time spent with me brothers munching on Ritter Sports Chocolate? Best memories ever! -

These macarons from Marie & Frères Chocolate are out-of-this-world, decadent, creamy and ethereal. They are divine even after a few days.
